The Department of Mechanical Engineering, DIETDS, organized an industrial visit to Perfect Autocast, Rajkot, for third-semester students. The visit was attended by 43 students and two faculty members and aimed to provide practical exposure to manufacturing processes and industrial practices. During the visit, students learned about the sand-casting process, automated systems, and quality control practices used in the manufacturing industry. They also observed inspection and testing methods for cast parts and understood the importance of a technically trained and self-motivated workforce in maintaining productivity. The visit helped students connect their theoretical knowledge with practical applications and better understand industrial manufacturing practices.
