Dr. Ruchi Upadhyay

Dr. Ruchi Upadhyay works in the field of Environmental Biotechnology, with expertise in bioremediation, environmental microbiology, ecotoxicology, multi-omics, and bioaerosol monitoring. Her research focuses on the use of microorganisms, particularly fungi, for the degradation and removal of environmental pollutants, with emphasis on understanding underlying mechanisms through molecular and multi-omics approaches. Her research interests include mycoremediation of dye-containing wastewater, fungal degradation and biosorption of synthetic dyes and emerging contaminants, ecotoxicological assessment, environmental exposure assessment, and monitoring of bioaerosols in indoor environments. She is interested in developing sustainable biological approaches for pollution mitigation and environmental protection. Dr. Upadhyay has several years of teaching experience in biotechnology, microbiology, environmental protection, and air pollution. She is passionate about teaching and student development, and strives to create an engaging learning environment that promotes critical thinking, practical knowledge, research skills, and professional growth.
