About Programming Club

A programming club is a group of individuals who share an interest in computer programming and related topics. The primary goal of a programming club is to provide a supportive environment for members to learn, practice, and collaborate on programming projects.

Objectives

  • Learn to code.
  • Conduct coding competitions.
  • Conduct workshops on areas of computer science like web development, application development, machine learning, IoT, etc.
  • Contribute to open-source projects, build websites and applications, and provide technical support to organizations and various clubs on campus.
  • Take part in competitions like ACM-ICPC, Google Code Jam, Google Summer of Code, and other online coding events.
  • To build a student’s programming profile on various websites like Hacker-Rank, etc.
  • To sharpen the problem-solving ability of the student.
  • To promote the student to work in a collaborative environment (Teamwork).

Practices

  • The club will conduct a college wide coding competition every year to recruit the students who are passionate about coding. The competition not only focuses on coding but also on logical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The club meets every week to discuss and work on projects. All the members collaborate to achieve a common objective. Lecture sessions will be organized for the benefit of members, where concepts of computer science will be taught.
  • Workshop and technical talks on various competitions and concepts of computer science will be conducted through the club. The club will organize talks/sessions by seniors and alumni about internship and placement preparation.
