Field Visit to Construction Site Silver Nest Apartments, Rajkot

The Department of Civil Engineering (DIETDS) organized a field visit to construction site Silver Nest Apartments Construction Site, Rajkot for diploma students to bridge the gap between classroom learning and on-site construction practices. The visit enabled thirty-one students to observe key construction activities such as masonry, plastering, centering, and finishing works. Students interacted with site engineers and supervisors to understand practical challenges, project execution methods, and safety practices followed in the industry. Exposure to the real-time application of materials like cement, steel, and concrete helped reinforce theoretical concepts. The visit enhanced students’ practical understanding of construction processes and prepared them for professional responsibilities in the civil engineering sector.
