Frolic 2025: Biothon

The Darshan Institute of Science organized an event “Biothon” as a part of Frolic 2025, an intellectually stimulating competition focused on science-driven solutions for a developed India. The event challenged participants to address real-world issues related to bioethics, public health, and environmental sustainability through the analysis of case studies and the proposal of innovative, science-based solutions. The competition featured Dr. Sougata Ghosh as a distinguished jury member, whose expert feedback enriched the academic experience of the participants. Among the twenty students representing various institutes, Tanya Singhal and Vrunda Akbari secured the top positions. Overall, the event fostered interdisciplinary collaboration, ethical thinking, and scientific inquiry, highlighting the role of biosciences in addressing contemporary societal challenges.
