Hands-on Skill Development Training on "Laser Engraving and Cutting"

The Department of Mechanical Engineering (DIET) organized a hands-on training titled “Hands-on Skill Development Training on Laser Engraving and Cutting” for seventh-semester B.Tech Mechanical Engineering students to enhance practical skills in advanced manufacturing. Conducted under the guidance of Prof. Divyesh R. Dudhatra and Prof. Hardik H. Kava, the session introduced students to laser technologies such as CO₂ and fiber lasers, their working principles, and essential safety practices. The training provided practical exposure to the complete operational process, including design preparation, laser cutting, and engraving demonstrations. The initiative strengthened students’ technical competence and operational confidence, preparing them for modern industrial engineering environments.
