Frolic 2025: Robo Race

  06 Sep 2025

The Department of Mechanical Engineering (DIET & DIETDS) organized an event “Robo Race” competition as part of Frolic 2025, a technical event designed to bridge the gap between theoretical engineering concepts and practical application. The competition challenged participants to design robots capable of navigating a complex obstacle course featuring sharp turns, ramps, and uneven terrain, rigorously testing agility, stability, and control mechanisms in both manual and autonomous robots. Beyond mechanical design, the event required students to demonstrate proficiency in sensor integration and electronics. By placing participants in a time-constrained and competitive environment, the event effectively fostered innovation, project management skills, and technical adaptability, providing a valuable experiential learning opportunity for aspiring mechanical engineers.
