Seminar on "Capacity Building Program on Capital Market"

The Department of Civil Engineering (DIET) successfully conducted a seminar on "Capacity Building Program on Capital Market" under the category of Industry-Academia Linkage. Organized in collaboration with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the session was led by Dr. Apurva Puranik, a certified SEBI Smart Trainer, who addressed 72 B.Tech Civil Engineering students. The seminar aimed to enhance financial literacy by providing a comprehensive overview of capital market investments, regulatory frameworks, and essential financial concepts such as the power of compounding. Participants gained critical insights into specific investment vehicles, including Systematic Investment Plans (SIPs) and Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), alongside an understanding of insurance products. This initiative effectively empowered future engineers with the knowledge required to make informed financial decisions, thereby establishing a strong foundation for their long-term economic stability.
