Seminar on "Introduction to Artificial Intelligence"

The Department of Humanities and Science (DIET) organized a seminar on “Introduction to Artificial Intelligence” for second-semester B.Tech CSE students across two divisions on 7th and 8th August 2025. Prof. Arjun Bala delivered the sessions, engaging a total of 240 students. The seminar introduced the fundamental principles of Artificial Intelligence and its key subfields, including natural language processing and robotics. It aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and practical applications by illustrating how interdisciplinary technologies contribute to the development of intelligent systems. Through discussions on the widespread presence of AI—ranging from streaming recommendations to facial recognition—the sessions highlighted the growing impact of AI on everyday life. The seminars concluded by motivating students to explore the vast possibilities of Artificial Intelligence, fostering innovation and technical curiosity essential for their engineering studies.
