Seminar on "Goal Setting and Career Planning"

The Department of Humanities and Science organized a seminar titled “Goal Setting and Career Planning” for first-year Computer Engineering students as part of its student development initiatives on 11 and 14 August 2025. Led by Prof. Krunal D. Vyas, the session aimed to instill a forward-looking mindset at an early stage of students’ academic journey. The seminar introduced the SMART goals framework, guiding students to set realistic and achievable academic and career objectives. Prof. Vyas discussed diverse career opportunities in the computer science domain, including artificial intelligence, data analysis, and cybersecurity, while emphasizing the importance of aligning personal strengths with professional aspirations. The session also focused on developing actionable short-term and long-term plans, encouraging students to think beyond the immediate curriculum. Emphasis was placed on self-reflection, flexibility, periodic goal review, and the effective use of internships and mentorship opportunities. Overall, the seminar equipped students with essential tools for structured career planning, fostering clarity, motivation, and responsible decision-making at an early academic stage.
Who we are?
