Seminar on "English Proficiency for First-Year Engineering Students"

The Department of Humanities and Science (DIET) organized a seminar on “English Proficiency for First-Year Engineering Students” for first-semester B.Tech Mechanical and Civil Engineering students under its student development initiatives. The session was conducted by Prof. Radhika Bhateliya and aimed to enhance students’ English proficiency for academic and professional purposes. The seminar addressed essential aspects such as vocabulary building, common grammatical errors, and strategies to improve reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. Emphasis was placed on the relevance of English communication in technical education, workplace interactions, and placement interviews. The session also introduced students to digital language-learning platforms to encourage continuous skill development, reinforcing the importance of effective communication in the engineering profession.
