  04 Aug 2025

The Department of Humanities and Science (DIET) organized a two-session Value Education seminar series on cyber security awareness titled “Ctrl + Alt + Secure: Rebooting Your Cyber Awareness” on August 4 and August 6, 2025. The sessions were conducted for first-semester B.Tech. students and were delivered by Prof. Maulik Trivedi. Across both sessions, a total of 247 students participated. The seminar series focused on creating awareness about the importance of cybersecurity in academic, professional, and daily life. Key topics included phishing, malware, ransomware, social engineering, password security, privacy management, and multi-factor authentication. Live demonstrations and real-world case studies were used to explain recent cyber incidents and effective preventive measures. The seminar series successfully enhanced students’ cyber awareness and equipped them with practical knowledge and responsible digital practices necessary to safeguard their digital assets in today’s technology-driven environment.
