Rakshasutra – Rakshabandhan Celebration

The Swami Vivekanand Youth Club of the Darshan Institute of Management organized a community outreach initiative titled “Rakshasutra – Rakshabandhan Celebration” at Kathiyawad Nirashrit Balashram, Rajkot. With the active participation of 51 students from the BBA, B.Com., and MBA programmes, the event aimed to extend a heartfelt gesture of affection to children deprived of parental care while nurturing social harmony and civic responsibility among the youth. The programme went beyond traditional festivities through the symbolic tying of rakhis to signify protection and friendship, followed by the distribution of gifts, sweets, and stationery to ensure that every child felt valued and included. Interactive games were also organized to foster joy, bonding, and mutual respect between the university students and the children of the Balashram. This philanthropic initiative effectively reinforced the values of empathy and compassion, encouraging students to uphold the true spirit of brotherhood and inclusiveness within society.
Who we are?
Darshan University - having the foundation of its first Institution laid in 2009, and later on, established and consolidated under Gujarat Private Universities (Second Amendment) Act of 2021. It is one of the leading institutes within Saurashtra that offers Diploma, UG, PG and Doctoral Courses.
