Astromovie Show "The Martian"

The Astronomy Wing of the Student Activity Center (SAC) organized an engaging screening of the film The Martian at Auditorium-2 with the objective of igniting scientific curiosity and interest in space exploration among the university community. The event attracted a diverse audience of 61 students and staff members who came together to explore the intersection of entertainment and planetary science. The screening was designed not merely as a recreational activity but as an educational initiative to enhance understanding of real-world scientific principles, space missions, and the challenges of survival on other planets. By encouraging the audience to critically analyze the scientific accuracy and problem-solving strategies depicted in the film, the session fostered a spirit of inquiry and connected abstract classroom concepts with tangible cosmic realities. This initiative effectively reinforced the Astronomy Club’s commitment to promoting scientific exploration beyond traditional learning environments.
Who we are?
