  26 Nov 2025

The Astronomy Wing of the Student Activity Centre organized a captivating “Sky Observation Event” at the Central Garden of the campus with the objective of fostering scientific curiosity and appreciation for the cosmos. The event attracted 99 students and faculty members who actively engaged in hands-on astronomical observation. Organized in collaboration with the Big Bang Astronomy Club, Rajkot, the programme featured advanced telescopes operated by Mr. Neelesh Rana and his team. Participants were guided in observing celestial bodies such as the Moon, Saturn, and the Andromeda Galaxy, gaining valuable insights into astronomical phenomena and telescope operations. This initiative successfully promoted interdisciplinary learning by linking physics and space science with direct observation. The event not only enhanced participants’ scientific understanding of the night sky but also inspired a deeper connection with the universe, reflecting the university’s commitment to holistic scientific inquiry.
