  24 Nov 2025

The Department of Mechanical Engineering (DIETDS) conducted a comprehensive "SSIP Integrated Technology Skill Development Workshop". This five-day program was specifically designed to equip final-year diploma students with practical expertise in cutting-edge technologies essential for the modern manufacturing and automation landscape. The workshop focused on futuristic domains, including 3D Printing, Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality (AR/VR), Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (R&AC), and Calibration. Through hands-on training and live demonstrations, thirty-two participants explored interdisciplinary concepts and their integration into mechanical systems, moving beyond theoretical learning to adopt a problem-solving approach. By exposing students to these revolutionizing industrial tools, the department successfully enhanced their technical competency and industry readiness, ensuring they are well-prepared to meet the evolving demands of the global engineering sector.
