07 Feb 2026
The National Service Scheme (NSS) and National Cadet Corps (NCC), DU, organized the “NSS Joy of Giving 2026” initiative under the guidance of faculty coordinator Mr. Stavan Pandya. As part of the outreach program, 50 student volunteers visited a construction site near Khisara Palace, Rajkot, to support members of the local labor community. During the initiative, volunteers distributed more than 300 useful items, including clothes for men, women, and children, as well as stationery, toys, and water bottles collected from students and staff members of the university. The activity encouraged students to contribute to society by sharing items that could benefit those in need. Through this initiative, participants developed a stronger sense of empathy, social responsibility, and community service. The program reflected the university’s commitment to humanitarian values and meaningful community engagement.
