Joy of Giving: NSS and NCC Community Outreach

The National Service Scheme (NSS) and National Cadet Corps (NCC), DU, organized the “NSS Joy of Giving 2026” initiative under the guidance of faculty coordinator Mr. Stavan Pandya. As part of the outreach program, 50 student volunteers visited a construction site near Khisara Palace, Rajkot, to support members of the local labour community. During the initiative, volunteers distributed more than 300 useful items, including clothing for men, women, and children, along with stationery, toys, and water bottles collected from students and staff members of the university. The activity encouraged students to contribute to society by sharing items with those in need. Through this initiative, participants developed a stronger sense of empathy, social responsibility, and community service, reflecting the university’s commitment to humanitarian values and meaningful community engagement.
