Visit at Construction Site

On February 18, 2026, the Department of Civil Engineering at Darshan Institute of Engineering & Technology for Diploma Studies (DIETDS) organized a comprehensive industrial site visit to the university’s ongoing auditorium construction project. This departmental initiative provided 36 students from the 6th-semester Diploma program with vital experiential learning opportunities focused on real-time structural execution and reinforcement detailing. Throughout the session, participants examined the practical applications of theoretical concepts regarding one-way and two-way slabs, beams, and columns. By interacting directly with site engineers and supervisors, students gained professional insights into construction sequencing, quality control, safety protocols, and the complexities of bar bending schedules. This field visit successfully bridged the gap between classroom instruction and industry implementation, significantly enhancing the technical competencies of the students. Such activities reinforce Darshan University’s commitment to producing skilled, industry-ready engineers through robust industry-academia linkages and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
