Industrial Visit to Orbit Bearings India Private Limited - Rajkot

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, DIETDS, organized an industrial visit to Orbit Bearings India Private Limited for fourth-semester Diploma Mechanical Engineering students. The visit was attended by 48 participants and aimed to provide practical exposure to manufacturing processes while connecting classroom learning with industrial practices. During the visit, students learned about modern manufacturing technologies, production planning, quality control, heat treatment processes, and automation systems used in the bearing industry. Guided by faculty coordinators Mr. Hardik H. Kava and Mr. Sagar N. Joshi, they also gained insights into workplace safety and professional practices followed in manufacturing industries. The visit enhanced students’ understanding of industrial operations and provided valuable exposure to real-world engineering applications.
