The Darshan University Department of Mechanical Engineering successfully conducted its third Industrial Shop Floor Learning Session on January 3, 2026, at Waterjet Polymers Pvt. Ltd. in Neknam. Organized for fourth-semester B.Tech students under the MP-I course, this departmental initiative aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical classroom concepts and real-world plastic processing applications. Under the expert guidance of industrial specialist Mr. Jignesh Bhotraniya, eight participating students received comprehensive hands-on exposure to plastic molding machinery and extrusion workflows. The session provided vital insights into contemporary manufacturing practices, quality control standards, and essential industrial safety norms. Faculty coordinator Mr. Mukeshkumar V. Vekariya oversaw the event, which ultimately enhanced the students' understanding of industrial operations through direct interaction with professional environments. This industry-academia linkage continues to play a pivotal role in equipping future engineers with the practical expertise necessary for the evolving mechanical sector.
