Techometry Survey and Contour Mapping using Theodolite

  11 Feb 2026

The Darshan Institute of Engineering & Technology’s Civil Engineering Department successfully organized a comprehensive technical session on Techometry Survey and Contour Mapping using Theodolite on February 11, 2026. Conducted near Hadala Village for Semester-2 B.Tech students, this departmental activity provided essential practical exposure to advanced leveling techniques and topographical surveying. Under the guidance of faculty coordinators Mr. Chetan G. Solanki and Mr. Deepraj K. Patadia, thirty-four participants engaged in systematic fieldwork, measuring ground levels and recording observations to understand elevation variations. The program seamlessly bridged theoretical knowledge with real-world application as students utilized their collected data to plot precise contour lines on drawing sheets. This hands-on exercise significantly enhanced the students' technical proficiency in landform representation and field surveying practices, reinforcing the university's commitment to delivering high-quality, industry-relevant engineering education through experiential learning opportunities.
