The Department of Civil Engineering, DIETDS, organized an expert lecture on "Building Bye-laws and Planning Regulations" for Diploma Civil Engineering students. The session aimed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the legal, technical, and practical aspects of building planning and construction regulations. During the lecture, students learned about important topics such as zoning regulations, setbacks, building height restrictions, parking requirements, and the approval procedures required for construction projects. The speaker explained the role of building bye-laws in ensuring public safety, sustainable development, and compliance with planning standards.
