Educational Visit at Machchu-II Dam

The Department of Civil Engineering, DIET, organized an educational visit to Machchu-II Dam to provide students with practical exposure to hydraulic engineering and water resource management. During the visit, students observed the dam’s structural components, spillway gate operations, power systems, maintenance practices, and safety measures. They also witnessed ongoing grouting work and learned about its role in improving the strength and durability of hydraulic structures. The visit helped students connect classroom concepts with real-world engineering practices while enhancing their understanding of dam engineering, infrastructure maintenance, and water resource management.
