The Civil Engineering Department, DIETDS, organized a construction site visit for third-semester, Batch 1 students at an active construction site in Vijaynagar Village along the Rajkot-Morbi Highway. The visit was attended by 19 students and aimed to provide practical exposure to construction activities. During the visit, students observed various stages of construction, including excavation, foundation work, brick masonry, concreting, formwork, and plastering. They also learned about the use of common construction materials such as cement, steel, sand, bricks, and aggregates. The visit helped students understand the sequence of construction work and basic site management practices, connecting their classroom learning with real-world civil engineering applications.
