Construction Site Visit for Semester-3 Batch-1 Students

  22 Jul 2026

The Darshan Institute of Engineering and Technology for Diploma Studies, specifically the Civil Engineering Department, recently organized an immersive construction site visit for its Semester-3 students. Held at an active construction site in Vijaynagar Village along the Rajkot-Morbi Highway, this educational initiative was meticulously designed to bridge the gap between theoretical classroom concepts and real-world application. Throughout the field visit, nineteen participating students gained invaluable practical exposure to essential building activities by directly observing critical construction stages, such as excavation, foundation laying, brick masonry, concreting, formwork, and plastering. Furthermore, the attendees actively examined the specific properties and on-site utilization of foundational materials, including cement, steel, sand, bricks, and aggregates. Ultimately, this experiential learning opportunity successfully enhanced the students' technical acumen. By witnessing basic site management practices and the systematic sequence of construction operations firsthand, the future engineers cultivated a comprehensive understanding of professional civil engineering methodologies.
