The Department of Civil Engineering, DIET, organized an expert talk on “Tippan and Land Revenue Records” to provide students with practical insights into land surveying, land administration, and their applications in civil engineering. The session covered the fundamentals of Tippan, village maps, survey numbers, field measurements, Record of Rights (RoR), and other land revenue documents used for land identification and boundary demarcation. The talk also explained the preparation, interpretation, and verification of land records, highlighting their relevance to land acquisition, infrastructure development, site selection, and project planning. With 150 students participating, the session helped connect academic concepts with professional practices and enhanced students’ understanding of land documentation and boundary verification.
