Understanding POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) framework

  13 Aug 2026

The Darshan Institute of Management organized an awareness session on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) framework for MBA Trimester 5 students, focusing on workplace dignity, professional conduct, and the importance of fostering safe, respectful, and inclusive organizational environments. The session introduced students to the Prevention of Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act, 2013, and enhanced their understanding of different forms of inappropriate workplace behaviour, personal boundaries, responsible communication, and ethical professional relationships. Students were also familiarized with the role and responsibilities of the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), complaint-handling procedures, confidentiality, and appropriate channels for reporting concerns. Practical examples and interactive discussions enabled participants to relate POSH principles to real-world professional situations and understand their responsibilities as future managers. With 28 students participating, the session strengthened awareness of workplace safety, equality, ethical leadership, and professional responsibility, preparing students to contribute towards positive and inclusive organizational cultures.
