“World Microbiome Day 2022”

  27 Jun 2022

On the occasion of "World Microbiome Day," the Department of Microbiology hosted a rangoli and poster competition for our B.Sc. and M.Sc. microbiology students.

The event's goal was to raise awareness about the critical role that microbes play in the survival of all living things on Earth. We hoped that by hosting this event, we would be able to cultivate an environment in which microbes are recognized for their importance and celebrated for their contributions to our planet. We believe that education and awareness are important to unlocking microorganisms' potential in addressing some of today's most pressing concerns, such as climate change and food security.
