Smart City Construction Site Visit

The Department of Civil Engineering organized a visit to the Rajkot Smart City Development site in collaboration with Rajkot Municipal Corporation. Mr. Y. K. Gowswami (Technical Manager, RSCDL) explained students about various features of smart city such as provision of ICT Duct, Power Duct, Water Distribution & Treatment System and its unique strome water management system. Students also visited atal sarovar project of Rajkot Smart City which is an unique project consisting various recreational facilities for the residents.
In addition to the visit students also integrated with Rajkot Municipal Commissioner Shree Anand Patel (IAS) and Mr. Chetan Nandani (CEO & Director, RSCDL) who encouraged students to take up internships and present their ideas regarding smart city. Students greatly benefited from the visit.
