Industrial Visit to ISRO, Ahmedabad

The Department of Computer Applications, DICA, had organized an industrial visit to ISRO, Ahmedabad for the BSc (Honors) Computer Science semester-1 students. The objective of arranging this visit was to establish a connection between theoretical concepts and real-time problems and solutions in the field of space technology.
Additionally, the visit aimed to provide students with exposure to an industrial environment. The students gained knowledge about the Space Center, observed the functioning of different machines and working models, and learned about GSLV and PSLV rockets, including details about their fuel, engines, size, and fuel components. They also acquired information about satellites and their types, as well as the number of satellites launched by India, such as ChandraYaan and MangalYaan, and the materials used in their construction. Additionally, the students received a brief overview of the projects that ISRO is currently working on.
