The Department of Humanities and Sciences organized an expert session on "The Mathematical Backbone of Machine Learning: Deep Dive into Algorithms" on August 05, 2024, conducted by Sajeed Ghanchi, Reasearch Scholar at PDEU. A distinguished expert with extensive experience in relevant field, who will delve intothe intricate mathematical foundations of machine learning in his talk, in talk participants gained acomprehensive understanding of how foundational mathematical principles such as statistics, linear algebra, and calculus drive the development and optimization of machine learning algorithms. The session offered an in-depth look at various algorithms, illustrating the application of mathematical techniques to real-world problems and enhancing participants' problem-solving skills. By bridging the gap between theory and practice, attendees left with valuable insights into how mathematical frameworks support advanced machine learning methodologies.
