Expert Talk on "The Joy of Sky Watching"

The Department of Humanities and Sciences & The Astronomy Club of Darshan University jointly organized an expert session on " The Joy of Sky Watching " on July 31, 2024 & August 01, 2024, conducted by Mr. Neelesh I. Rana, Project Coordinator at Shri O. V. Sheth Regional Community Science Centre and is the Founder-member and Convenor of the Big Bang Astronomy Club at CSC, Rajkot. During the session, Mr. Rana introduced students to the vastness of the universe, providing an insightful overview of different types of stars and their evolutionary processes. He further elaborated on the solar system, explaining the classification and structural characteristics of planets, as well as the significance of the asteroid belt located between Mars and Jupiter. Mr. Rana also emphasized our intrinsic connection to the universe and demonstrated various mobile applications that can enhance the skygazing experience. Mr. Rana provided a highly informative lecture, effectively conveying complex astronomical concepts in a clear and accessible way, ensuring strong student engagement throughout.
Who we are?
