Darshan Institute of Computer Application successfully organized a Hands-on Workshop on ReactJS under the SSIP (Student Startup and Innovation Policy) chapter, from November 28, 2024, to December 7, 2024. This workshop was aimed at BCA/BSc IT Semester 6 students, with 30 students actively participating in the event. The primary objective of the workshop was to equip students with comprehensive, hands-on knowledge of front-end development using ReactJS, a popular JavaScript library used for building interactive user interfaces, particularly in the development of Single Page Applications (SPA). The workshop was led by Prof. Arjun Bala, from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Darshan Institute of Engineering and Technology (DIET), Darshan University. With his extensive expertise in front-end technologies, Prof. Bala guided the students through the essential concepts and practical applications of ReactJS. The workshop began with an introduction to ReactJS and various client-side technologies. Prof. Bala emphasized the growing significance of client-side technologies in the current IT landscape and highlighted the demand for skills in modern web development. He has explained detailed concept of ReactJS and its various modules. He has covered Components, Properties, Event handling and Forms in React JS. He also covered hands on practical sessions of basic application development with ReactJS. By the end of the workshop, students had gained a clear understanding of ReactJS and how to use it to build dynamic, interactive web applications. They developed practical skills in creating, testing, and hosting applications locally. The workshop provided invaluable exposure to modern web development techniques and highlighted the importance of mastering client-side technologies like ReactJS in today’s IT industry. The event concluded with the distribution of certificates of participation to all attendees, marking the successful completion of this insightful workshop.
