On 21st June 2024, a group of students and four faculty from Darshan Institute of Management visited the Adani Industry. Adani Group, a globally integrated infrastructure player, is known for its diverse operations in sectors such as energy, resources, logistics, agribusiness, real estate, financial services, and defence. 

The visit began with a warm welcome by the Adani Industry team, followed by a comprehensive presentation on the company’s history, vision, and mission. The presentation highlighted Adani’s commitment to nation-building and its contributions to the economy.

Participants were taken on a guided tour of the facility. Key operational areas were showcased, including the manufacturing units, control rooms, and logistics centers. Detailed explanations were provided on the various processes involved in production, quality control, and distribution.

A significant portion of the visit was dedicated to understanding the technological innovations implemented at Adani. The use of advanced machinery, automation, and cutting-edge software for process optimization was demonstrated. Participants learned about the integration advance technology in enhancing operational efficiency. Especially during the Adani Wilmar oil refinery.

Adani’s commitment to sustainability was evident throughout the visit. The team highlighted their renewable energy projects, waste management practices, and efforts towards reducing carbon footprints. The visit included a tour of the solar and wind energy installations, showcasing Adani's role in promoting green energy. They even shared the new project of theirs under the wind energy, where the special sensors are installed which can identify the wind direction and generate auto rotate.

The visit concluded with an interactive Q&A session where participants had the opportunity to engage with senior management. Discussions covered topics such as future projects, career opportunities, and the challenges faced by the industry.
