The Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Darshan University hosted Google Developer Group (GDG) DevFest Rajkot 2024 at the Institute on 17 Nov., 2024.
GDG DevFest Rajkot is the hottest spot in the town for tech enthusiasts, developers, and innovators to come together for a day of learning, networking, and sharing. GDG DevFest is an annual event hosted by Google Developer Groups worldwide, where developers come together to learn, network, and grow their skills through various sessions, workshops, and talks on the latest in tech, including topics like Android, Cloud, Web, AI, and more. At GDG Rajkot DevFest 2024, we were fortunate to hear from an incredible lineup of speakers who shared valuable insights into the latest trends in technology. Mr. Parth Jansari, Senior Software Engineer at Impulsive Web, enlightened us about Deno 2.0 and the power of Honeypot Documentaries for developers, emphasizing the importance of security and modern tooling. Mr. Pratik Butani, Engineering Lead for Mobile at 7Span, introduced us to Google AI Studio, highlighted the versatility of Flutter, and demonstrated how to leverage Firebase CLI to build dynamic mobile apps. Mr. Ashutosh Bhakare, CEO of Unnati Development and Training Centre Pvt. Ltd., broke down advanced topics like Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), TensorFlow, and Kubeflow, with a particular focus on GKE Autopilot and real-world customer success stories. Mr. Paresh Mayani, CEO of SolGuruz discussed "Fueling Growth to MVP: A CEO’s Guide to Strategic Software Development". He focused on how startups can scale MVPs effectively and the strategic role software development plays in driving business growth. Mr. Gaurav Makhecha, Co-Founder & COO of Artisans Commerce Cloud, explored cloud computing and e-commerce solutions, offering valuable insights into modern technologies and business strategies for thriving in the tech industry.

Darshan University - having the foundation of its first Institution laid in 2009, and later on, established and consolidated under Gujarat Private Universities (Second Amendment) Act of 2021. It is one of the leading institutes within Saurashtra that offers Diploma, UG, PG and Doctoral Courses.
