2nd Runner-up at MINeD 2025 Hackathon

We are proud to announce that our team, Bhavya Mashru (23010101631) and Vikas Sanchaniya (23010101647), secured the 1st rank at Nirma University and 2nd rank overall in India at MINeD 2025 Hackathon. This prestigious competition featured 200+ teams from 28 states across India, where we successfully developed an AI-powered solution for railway wagon inspection and reporting in just 48 hours.
They implement a Project with AI-driven system that processes rail wagon videos to analyze their status. The system determines whether a wagon is loaded or unloaded, calculates the volume of materials if loaded, and detects damages if unloaded. The output consists of an automated report containing volume calculations or damage detection results along with captured images.
Bhavya Mashru and Vikas Sanchaniya added Key Features & Functionalities like Wagon Detection & Counting using instance segmentation, Loaded/Unloaded Classification using a CNN-based image classifier, Volume Estimation in loaded wagons using DepthAnything-Large HF, Damage Detection in unloaded wagons via AI-powered analysis and Automated Report Generation in PDF format, including detailed findings and images.
They used the solution integrated state-of-the-art AI and computer vision models, including Detectron2, TensorFlow, DepthAnything, OpenCV, PyTorch, and ReportLab.
