Industrial Visit to Hi-Bond Cement Manufacturing Plant
On 13th March 2025, B.Tech. Civil Engineering 2nd-year students had an insightful visit to the Hi-Bond Cement Manufacturing Plant!
Students explored the entire cement manufacturing process — from raw material procurement and storage to pre-heating, blending, mixing, and clinker formation in the rotary kiln. They also witnessed the production of Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC), Portland Pozzolana Cement (PPC), and Portland Slag Cement (PSC), along with the packaging and dispatch processes.
The visit offered a deep dive into quality control measures, including raw material testing, testing during production, and final product testing — providing a valuable link between classroom learning and real-world industry practices.
