Visit at Ultratech Ready-Mix Concrete Plant

On January 21, 2026, the Civil Engineering Department of the Darshan Institute of Engineering & Technology for Diploma Studies organized a comprehensive industrial visit to the Ultratech Ready-Mix Concrete Plant in Rajkot for Semester 4 students. This departmental initiative aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical classroom concepts and practical industry applications by providing students with firsthand exposure to modern concrete production. Throughout the session, thirty participants observed the systematic stages of manufacturing, including automated batching, material storage in cement silos, and the operation of specialized machinery such as transit mixers. Under the guidance of faculty coordinators Mr. Miral H. Lathia and Mr. Meet B. Sanghvi, students gained vital insights into quality assurance procedures and rigorous safety standards. This educational experience successfully enhanced the students' understanding of industrial working conditions and professional construction practices, significantly contributing to their ongoing development as future civil engineering professionals.
