On January 22, 2026, the DIETDS Civil Department at Darshan University hosted an insightful workshop titled "Tendering and Contract" for fourth-semester Diploma in Civil Engineering students. Conducted by Prof. Chintan S. Raichura at the university's D-Block, the session focused on familiarizing participants with the professional procedures essential to modern civil engineering projects. The curriculum provided a comprehensive overview of the complete tendering cycle, ranging from the initial preparation of documents and bid evaluation to the final awarding of contracts. Prof. Raichura further detailed various contract types while emphasizing the legal necessity of transparency and strict compliance with contractual specifications. By integrating theoretical concepts with practical examples from real-world construction sites, the workshop successfully bridged the gap between academic study and field application. This departmental initiative equipped thirty-one students with the specialized knowledge required for future leadership roles within the competitive construction industry.
