Empowering Women and Girls in Science and Innovation

The Darshan Institute of Science, DU organized a seminar titled “Empowering Women and Girls in Science and Innovation” to celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. The event was coordinated by Ms. Jahnvi S. Padhiar and Dr. Amishi R. Bhatt and aimed to create awareness about the important role of women in science and innovation. The seminar engaged 33 students in learning about the achievements and challenges of renowned women scientists in biotechnology, medicine, and space science. During the seminar, seven students delivered presentations highlighting the importance of gender equality in science and encouraging their peers to pursue careers in research and innovation. The program enhanced students’ communication and presentation skills. The seminar inspired students to explore opportunities in science, research, and innovation.
