Gujarat Industrial Hackathon 2018-19 is an initiative of Education Dept., Govt. of Gujarat, under SSIP with the focus to solve challenges of MSME sectors. Team of students comprising of Sutariya Abhishek, Patel Path, Vachhani Parth, Padh Abhijeet, Bakraniya Vishaland Chauhan Amit, from Department of Electrical Engineering participated in the final round of Gujarat Industrial Hackathon 2018-2019. The event was held at Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, Gandhinagar on 6-7April, 2019. The shortlisting for the final round was after regional round that was organized at Auro University, Surat on19-20Feb., 2019. Around 171 teams with total of 650+ participants were shortlisted after four different regional rounds. The team proposed solution to one of the industrial problems and was posed by a Surat based industry. It was related to mitigation of harmonics by active harmonic filter. Similar problem as also proposed by Raymond’s Ltd. Students represented their project quite well and had good learning experience because of interaction with jury and other participants.
