Civil Engineering Knowledge Carnival – A technoteinment event was organized by Civil Engineering Department of Darshan Institute, Rajkot. This event consisted of Expert Talks on various topics Such as “Understanding Basics of Structural Design & Related Major Field Issues in Execution of R.C.C. Building Structures, Quality Control & Quality Assurance with ISO Certification for civil engineering firm, Valuation Practices and Data Management for Technocrats, Opportunities & Challenges to Budding Civil Engineers” This expert talks were delivered by well-known personalities of Saurastra Region, Such as Mr. B. V. Harsoda (Ex. Deputy Executive Engineer R & B Department), Mr. Nilesh Suchdev (Suchdev Associates), Mr. Shashank Gandholekar (L&T Construction), Mr. Vipul Bakhai (The One World Project). Apart from expert talks this event also consisted live training cum hands on field practices such as Design of Concrete Mix as per IS: 10262-2019, Foundation Layout Practice, Determination of SBC by SPT Test, Surveying using Total Station, Construction Documents Study (Working Drawing study) and An Introduction of Material Testing was done to help student implement such practices in field once they complete their study. 180+ Students of Civil Engineering Department participated in this event and gained immense knowledge of various field of civil engineering.
